Will and FAQs

Dear Blogger Nation-
In this post I will answer many of the questions I have been receiving oer the last couple weeks.  But first I would like to introduce William Trott Weaver, the newest member of our gang.  Will wanted to make sure he made it in time for Christmas so he came a month earlier than expected.  Will is still at the hospital in the Nicu but is making progress every day and will hopefully be home with his Tag Team Partner G-Money soon.

FAQs
-Where are the Weavys?
-The Weavys have been postponed maybe to New Year's.  The 1st Weavy will go to Will Weaver-Best Surprise Entrance

-How is the Nicu?
-The Nicu is an interesting place-it is a mix of every emotion you could think of and all types of people, but everyone is there for the same reason and has the same goal.

-How is Graham?
-Graham has been a Trooper for the last week he has been shuffled all around Forsyth County and has laughed, sang, and "marched" the whole time.  I have a feeling he knows something is going on but can't put his finger on it.  I can't wait to see him finally see his little bro and then prob. hurl a ball at him.

Why is the #2 Blog in the world based in Winston-Salem?
-I have received this question a number of times (Most Recently from "Curious in Cleveland").  Our experience with Will demonstrates why we are based in Winston-Salem (Please do not call it "The Dash" it is a hyphen, people).  Not only have we depended heavily on friends and family in the last week but it is a good feeling when you know your Nicu Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, and Anesthesiologist and know the most important thing in the world to you is getting World Class Treatment.

BBQ/Carhartt/Taylor Swift

I know there is much chatter on the Interwebs on the upcoming Weavys, but you will just have to wait because the Weavys are always announced during Thanksgiving Week, because we are thanking things for being Awesome.
This Post is about Pulled Pork, since moving back to NC, Jennifer and I have attended the Lexington BBQ Festival every fall.  Although the actual BBQ at the festival is below the normal high standard for Lexington-we enjoy the festival.  Why?  I’ll tell you-

-Fried Apple Pies from The Church of the Prophecy of our Lord and Savior 7th Day Pentecostal Church-These Things will give you a religious experience

-People Watching-Better than the Dixie Classic Fair and Cheaper

-Entertainment-tons o music and acts and all free (Usually there are 2/3 Big Name Country Acts and then some up and coming talent)

-Parking-With roots deep into the great town of Lexington our parking is free and a block from the festival (Thanks Uncle J-Bo)

-Army/Navy Store-I always like visiting my Uncle Wank Wank at the store and on BBQ Festival Day, you really get to see the King of Carhartt and Lord of Levis in his element.  We also get to see Auntie Sheila who always has something witty to say, followed by “Lord, these people are crazy.”  This year Sheila was wearing a shirt that said “Squeeze a Boob” (Sheila recently kicked Breast Cancer’s Butt).

Overall, it is great to see the little town of Lexington packed with people.   To an outsider Lexington probably looks like many other small towns after the factories have been packed up and moved overseas, but I think there is still hope for the BBQ Capital of the World.  And to me, it is great to go and relive memories of my grandparents and see that old faded sign that my grandfather hand painted or have that random stranger say “You must be a Nance…”  We need less malls and more small towns…

What Up Dawg......

So, I decided this post would be about my best four legged furry buddy-Macy Ralph Weaver.  I should prob. start by explaining Macy's name-Jennifer and I decided we wanted a dog and I decided I wanted a dog named Ralph.  We searched high and low for the perfect sized non-shedding dog and found it in Mocks-Vegas.  We went to look at the litter and the one we liked was a girl-hence the name Macy Ralph.
Macy is an all around great dog but every since Graham graced us with his presence, my affection for Macy and her role in our little family has increased.  If you come over and are looking for Macy, just find Graham.  There is a 97% Chance they are chasing each other around or Graham is rolling around the floor and Macy is licking his face.  At Dinner time you will find Macy right under Graham's chair waiting for any and everything to drop.  The funny thing is Macy is a very picky eater and will not eat anything but meat from anyone else but Graham.  From Graham, Macy will eat anything including fruit, veggies, cheerios, and aninmal crackers.  So heres to Macy or as Graham calls her MAY, MAY, MAY!!!!

Duke/Miami-Upset Alert-Dook but could care less
UVA/Maryland-WAHOOOO!!! Maryland should leave the ACC

#2-Living w/ the World's Biggest Wake Fan for 6 years made me hate everything about "Mother So Dear", Tye Dye, Black and Gold, and their ugly mascot (and his family-Pic Below)
#3-I actually really like Jim Grobe and feel Wake Fans are lucky to have him
So...................I'm going with the Deacs
UNC/STATE-My Pick is obvious, but I just look at the commercials below and decide for yourself-GO HEELS!!!!

Monkeys and Mustaches

First the Monkey-
There was a mean looking Monkey roaming around Forsyth County this week...
This monkey would go knock on doors and convince unknowing individuals to let him into their homes...
Once into the home the monkey would steal all the candy, but luckily he was captured....

MUSTACHES-
    Dear Friends, Family, Followers:

Alarm Clock

***To all my fans that I promised my next post would be about the Gridiron Heels, it is still on it's way......

As many know I have had to travel for work a lot over the last three years, one thing that always makes me nervous is waking up.  Not waking up in general but waking up on time.  When I am in a hotel I set 3 Alarms on my phone, get a wake up call, and set the alarm on the clock radio.  Yes, sometimes it takes 5 alarms to wake me up.  Now when I am at home it is a differnt story, not every morning but a lot of mornings my alarm is as follows.....
7:14 AM-All is quiet-pics below

7:15AM-Smack on the Head, Smack on the Head, DAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYEEEE!!!!, Smack on the Head, Headbutt, DAAAAAAAAYYYYYEEEEEEE!!!!, I open my eyes, I hear a giggle, I close my eyes, Daye, Daye, Daye!!!!, Headbutt.

I love my alarm clock, even w/o a snooze button...

Chicago

So-This Idea of Blogging came to me in my downtime in Chicago this week.  I have traveled a lot over the last three years and have a lot of great stories and random thoughts I think people would like.  Chicago is a great town, great pizza, and great sports.  On this trip we were able to go to Wrigley Field, which is Awesome.  My work team went on a tour of the whole stadium, saw everything there was, the best part was there is a urinal right behind the home team dugout (Picture).  The other great thing about Chicago is all my meetings take place on the 56th floor of Chase Tower which has a pretty great view (Other Picture).
